Press Trust of India New Delhi
Zinc futures traded 0.13 per cent lower at Rs 118.20 per kg today after speculators trimmed positions, tracking a weak global trend.

In futures trading at the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc for delivery in April declined 15 paise, or 0.13 per cent, to Rs 118.20 per kg. It clocked a business turnover of 35 lots.

Metal for delivery this month eased by 10 paise, or 0.09 per cent, to Rs 117.50 per kg in 539 lots.

Analysts said the weakness in zinc in futures trade was mostly attributed to a falling trend in copper and other base metals in global markets as investors await signals on the pace of US rate hikes and the direction of the dollar, and comments on the health of the global economy.
