Zinc futures soften 0.25 on profit-booking, low demand

Zinc futures traded 0.13 per cent lower at Rs 151.75 per kg today as speculators trimmed positions to book profits at prevailing levels.

Zinc for delivery this month declined by 20 paise or 0.13 per cent to Rs 151.75 per kg at the Multi Commodity Exchange. It clocked a business turnover of 667 lots.

Metal for delivery in November softened by a similar margin to trade at Rs 152.35 per kg in 11 lots.

Analysts said the weakness in zinc at futures trade was mostly attributed to p;rofit-booking at current levels and low demand at the domestic spot markets. PTI SUN KPS ADI Zinc futures soften 0.
