Press Trust of India New Delhi
Zinc futures was today up 0.63 per cent to Rs 111.10 per kg as participants enlarged positions amid a firming trend overseas and better domestic demand.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc for delivery in November rose by 70 paise, or 0.63 per cent, to Rs 111.10 per kg, with a business turnover of 457 lots.

According to marketmen, a firming trend in base metals led by aluminium overseas and rising demand at the domestic spot markets from consuming industries, supported the upside in zinc prices in futures trade.

The metal for delivery in December also rose by 40 paise, or 0.54 per cent, to Rs 112.20 per kg, in a business volume of just one lot.
