Alcatel Cuts H1 Loss, Sees '96 Profit

Chairman Serge Tchuruk said that the company was on line to break even for 1996, before asset gains, and he added the sale of a 25 per cent stake in mobile telecommunications company Cofira to British Telecommuni-cations Plc would allow it to post a 1996 profit of several billion francs.
