Aluminium Demand To Grow At 8-10%

The demand for aluminium in the country is likely to grow at eight per cent to 10 per cent compared with the world demand of two per cent to three per cent in the coming years, according to Aluminium Association of India (AAI). Local demand will outweigh the international demand as major shift in the usage of aluminium is envisaged in the coming years, says S N Johri, president, AAI. The demand for aluminium is also likely to increase dramatically with massive growth in the food processing industry, added Johri.
