Asia will be the next growth engine for the global energy industry and increasingly opt for gas as it helps shape the world's environmental choices, senior industry officials said yesterday.

The energy slate will change and it will be the Asian markets that determine this process, chairman of the Royal/Dutch Shell Group Mark Moody-Stuart said.
