Ceb Norms On Power Generation

The Central Electricity Board (CEB) has decided to prepare guidelines for improving power generation before taking up legislative measures, an official release said here yesterday. The guidelines, based on the experience of utilities, industries and consumers, would be in addition to concrete measures to ensure flow of power based on prudent practices and maintain grid discipline, the release said. A meeting of the board, which concluded here on Tuesday, also decided to restrict frequency variation within plus or minus two per cent instead of the present plus or minus three per cent.
