Diamond Exports

Indias export of cut and polished diamonds dropped to $4.23 billion in 1996-97 from $4.66 billion in the previous year, Nicky Oppenheimer, chairman of Central Selling Organisation (cso) said at the inaugural function of the `India International Jewellery Show 97, at Cuffe Parade, south Mumbai yesterday.
