Dumping Duty On Acrylic Staple Fibre From Korea, Us & Thailand

The Centre has decided to impose anti-dumping duty on acrylic staple fibre (ASF) being imported from the US, Thailand and South Korea.
A notification issued by the Union commerce ministry said barring 1.7 denier acrylic fibre being exported by Cytec Industries Inc, US, all other acrylic fibres being exported by the United States, Thailand and Korea to India were below their normal value, resulting in dumping and consequently causing material injury to the Indian industry.
The duty has been imposed pending final determination on all imports of acrylic fibres originating from these countries, the notification said.
