A member of the World Economic Forum (WEF) from 1977-96, the dimunitive French lady has been a towering presence in the arena of international business. Between 1991 and 1996, she was the managing director of the WEF, and is widely held responsible for having developed the annual Davos meet into a global summit.

This Harvard University graduate is an old votary of globalisation. We use the word
