Hindustan Petroleum Corp Ltd (HPCL) will invest Rs 11,500 crore in the next five years to expand its refining throughput from the existing 20 per cent to 30 per cent. The programmes include expanding the capacity at its Vizag refinery from 4.5 mmtpa to 7.5 mmtpa and of the Mangalore Refinery & Petro Chemicals from 3 mmtpa to 9 mmtpa, director (personnel and administration) S K Kerr, told a press conference here yesterday.
