Rich ethnic Indians in Hong Kong are packing their jewellery and heading for bank vaults in Singapore as the territory's July 1 return to China nears, a newspaper reported on Sunday.
Fearing export curbs on gold and gems by Hong Kong's future administration after the handover, some wealthy Indian women have opted to keep their prized possessions in safety deposit boxes in Singapore, the Sunday Morning Post said.

If anything goes wrong, you just go to Singapore and pick up your things, another said.
