The Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI), Jammu, has suggested several measures, including immediate abolition of sales tax, to boost small-scale industry and give a fillip to the economy of the state. In a memorandum to the visiting economic reforms committee headed by Madav Godbole here on Saturday, chamber president Ramesh Gupta said the existing revenue collecting agencies in the state be streamlined and made to collect the maximum revenue as already envisaged in the existing tax structures.
