Some cultural recommendations to enliven your weekend

BS Weekend
MUMBAI

ART
Sketchy Singh: Line Bombs is the debut solo show by Delhi-based artist Gagan Singh, whose main interest is in the style of line drawing. His paperworks, which are delicate and sparse, have been created over a period of five years and differ in scale. He explores two broad categories in his works -- the autobiographical and the erotic. The exhibition also features animation and site-specific interventions. Singh uses humour to touch on other, often more serious issues. Rather than envisioning the final result, the artist keeps changing the theme, line quality and form to allow variations. "I like to explore the element of hiding myself in the story so that no one really knows but I have said it all," noted the artist.
