The Indian Humvee

It was a matter of months, and copyright be damned. The US-made Humvee (the Hummer), one of the few military vehicles design that is poised to pass into automobile history, has an Indian wannabe it never reckoned for: that land-based battleship, the Jonga. And it's the army that is doing the manufacturing and the selling. For once, the army is brandishing the Jonga's pedigree without recoiling from the reprehensible act of plugging for a foreign country and the indiscipline of the civilian marketplace.
