Software Export Tariff

The Electronics and Computer Software Export Promotion Council (ESC) has urged the government to lower telecom tariffs for computer software exports since it constitutes nearly 15 per cent of the input cost in software development. ESC executive director R H Naqvi said the present policy of the department of telecommunications on high speed telecommunication is a deterrent to software development in India.
