Telco Plans To Launch Mobile Caravan Soon

The mobile home is finally here and that too not custom made out of some foreign vehicle. Telco will soon launch `Motor Home, a mobile caravan with provision for sleeping and eating quarters. And whats more, it comes with a kitchenette and a chemical toilet too.

All this comes at an ex-factory price of Rs 6 lakh. The vehicle will be custom made on the Tata Mobile which has a listed price of Rs 3 lakh. It is being displayed for the first time at the 12th IETF and Telco has already received over 300 verbal orders for it during the fair.

 

A company spokesperson said the delivery period will be 14-16 weeks depending on the placement of orders.

The Motor Home will have a maximum speed of 106 km per hour.

The caravan presently has no provision for air conditioning but this can be built into the vehicle at an additional cost of Rs 30,000. Though the Motor Home also does not have any facility for refrigeration, Telco is working on a design to equip it with a refrigerator.

Mahindra & Mahindra on the other hand has decided to launch `Executive, an airconditioned vehicle designed as a mobile office for the busy executive who wishes to catch up on office work while commuting long distances by road.

The Mahindra & Mahindra `Executive comes with a refrigerator and a 200 litre water tank. Custom built on the Mahindra Nissan, the vehicle will cost anywhere between Rs 10 lakh and Rs 12 lakh.
