Titagarh Plans Railway Wagon Arm

The Calcutta-based company is actively considering forming a subsidiary for the purpose, J P Chowdhary, chairman of Titagarh Industries Ltd, said. The Railway Board has placed an order worth Rs 8 crore. Steel, air-brake and wheel-sets will be provided by the Railways.
The manufacture of three prototypes are underway. The facilities and the plant are already there, and are being modified to achieve volume production. By November the prototypes will be ready, and by December mass production will be underway.
