Traded Volumes At Rs 698.36 Crore

The Wholesale Debt Market at the National Stock Exchange clocked a trading volume of Rs 698.36 crore of which the treasury bills segment accounted to trades worth Rs 122.95 crore yesterday. There were 112 trades done in the government securities segment which included 13 trades in the treasury bills segment.
The corporate debenture segment accounted to 421 trades accounting to trade volume of Rs 161.52 lakh.

The 11.19 per cent government loan maturing in 2005 was also in demand, reporting 13 trades during the day, and accounted for trades worth Rs 95 crore. The paper was traded at the weighted yield of 11.08 per cent, with a low of 100.30 and high of Rs 100.45 for the day.
The 10.85 per cent government loan maturing in 2001 showed trading volumes of Rs 70 crore and was traded at the weighted yield of 10.44 per cent. The paper was traded at the low of Rs 101.05, high of Rs 101.22 and closed at Rs 100.20 for the day.
The 12.14 per cent government loan maturing in 2000 was traded for Rs 60 crore at the weighted yield of 10.04 per cent.
