The trading volumes in the wholesale debt market of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) has gone up to Rs 904.44 crore yesterday.
On Thursday, the exchange has recorded a turnover of Rs 761.71 crore.

In the government securities segment, the 12.59 per cent paper maturing in 2004 clocked trades worth Rs 126 crore at a weighted average yield of 12.23 per cent. The 12.40 per cent maturing in 2000 was also traded for Rs 125 crore at a yield of 11.06 per cent. The zero coupon bond maturing in 2000 was very active, recording a turnover of Rs 155 crore 10.72 per cent.
The 364-day treasury bills maturing on 24 April 1998 were traded for Rs 40 lakh at a weighted average yield of 7.98 per cent.
Except for the zero per cent Reliance Petro PPD, corporate debentures had few takers in the market. The counter witnessed trades worth Rs 56.16 lakh.
The 16 per cent MRPL 2002 also met with some trades worth Rs 4.87 lakh.
IDBI deep discount 2002 and 12.50 per cent Reliance home 2002 were also traded for Rs 2 lakh and Rs 1.41 lakh respectively.
