Two Mous On Wool Signed With Australia

A Joint Business Group (JBG) meeting of the Natural Fibres and Textiles concluded with the signing of MoUs between the Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research and the Indian Woolen Mills Federation for two wool sector projects.
Australia is the primary source of apparel grade wool for India but the Indian share of the Australian market is very small. The JBG will provide a vehicle for achieving greater communication and coordination between the respective textile industries and for exploring opportunities to build on the existing commercial and government to government relationships.
The group will also facilitate increased raw wool exports from Australia to India, wool consumption in India and exports of finished products from India.
