Airtel launches free roaming across east

Airtel today launched free roaming across the eastern region for Kolkata-based customers which would benefit over 10 lakh subscribers.

Customers would also not be charged rental of Rs 49 while roaming, while pre-paid and post-paid subscribers would get attractive home tariffs, an Airtel spokesperson said.

With this, Airtel became the only private operator to offer unified roaming service in the region.
