Bangalore-based Repair and Return (R&R) Technology (India), a provider of repairing services for electronics goods and IT hardware, has forged a joint venture with Sequel Technology Inc of Taiwan, to establish a LCD panel repair unit in Bangalore.
With an investment of $2 million, the proposed unit will offer LCD repair services and after-market services (AMS) to consumers and electronics industry in India.
Initially, the unit will focus on LCD panel repair service for monitors and laptops. The scope of the repairing will later be expanded into cell phone and LCD television, the company said.

"India has the technical resources and skills to become a hub for repairs and refurbishment services. It is only a matter of time before global players start outsourcing repair work to India," he said.
