Compass expects Rs 100 crore business

Computer Association of eastern India is expecting Rs 100 crore business from its annual fair this year.
 
V K Bhandari, president of the association said the fair, named Compass, would take place between February 13-17 at the Brigade Parade Ground.
 
"Last year, the fair lead into Rs 60 crore of business. This year it should touch Rs 100 crore," he informed at a press meet here on Friday.
 
The fair which started at Ice Skating Rink in 1997 with 23 participants, now have 125 participants this year.
 
It is also the first time the fair moved in larger space in Maidan. Earlier the fair used to take place at Netaji Indoor Stadium where it shifted from the Rink.
 
Key sponsor of Compass 2004 is LG Electronics. Other major companies who will be participating are HP, Microsoft, Samsung, LG, AMD, D-Link, Intel, Cannon and IBM.
