The special court hearing the Satyam case will examine the first set of six witnesses from the coming Monday. Today, the Central Bureau of Investigation presented a list of key witnesses, mostly bankers, to the court for summons. The hearings will be daily.

"We will increase the number of witnesses to be examined later, depending on the progress of the case,'' CBI DIG V V Lakshminarayana said later.

Initially, the focus will be on the bankers who had certified that Satyam had fixed deposits, even though none existed. These were reflected in the company's balance sheets. Among others, CBI will also examine an international banker.

CBI had earlier charged the Raju brothers and their kin of having acquired 1,065 properties during the period the accounting fraud was perpetuated at Satyam Computer Services. Among others, former chief financial officer Srinivas Vadlamani is also said to have acquired properties in his and his kin's names. CBI said Raju and his associates had created seven fake foreign customers against whom fabricated invoices were raised.
