Infosys wins award for shop floor control system A shop floor control system developed by Infosys Technologies and Arrow Electronics has won the 2004 InfoWorld 100 award for being one of the top 100 best IT projects of the year. The 2004 award-winners were chosen for their innovative use of multiple technologies to serve well-defined business goals, according to a release issued by Infosys to the BSE today. "Arrow chose Infosys as its partner to re-engineer, develop, deploy and maintain the control system for its services operations globally. The company studied the shop-floor processes and the previous desktop applications, and defined the scope and user requirements. The system was developed and deployed to multiple locations in 2003," the release added.
