IDS opens dev centre

International Decision Systems (IDS), a global player in the equipment financing software and service solutions, has announced the opening of its global product development centre in Bangalore.
 
Headed by Srikanth Sundararajan, executive vice president for worldwide product development & managing director - India, the Bangalore centre will be critical to IDS from a global perspective for the continued development of leasing and loan accounting and portfolio management solutions.
 
This opening represents a step forward in IDS' strategy to unify its global product development team, and the company's commitment to its products - InfoLease, Rapport and the newly implemented ProFinia.
 
Announcing the opening, Todd Davis, COO, IDS said, "We are an established player in equipment financing. IDS' Bangalore centre will further innovation and enhancement initiatives for the company's product offerings."
 
ProFinia, the recently implemented modern back-office platform will be a major initiative in Bangalore as will Rapport, the industry's most popular solution for origination and booking.
 
"Over time, the Bangalore centre will also provide development for the IDS legacy product, InfoLease."
 
Said Srikanth Sundararajan, "IDS is excited with the prospect of attracting the industry's most talented minds to further our efforts in the equipment leasing arena. We are looking forward to the opportunities now available for creating new and innovative products as well as advancing our existing offerings through a global development system."
 
K T Schmidt, director of human resources said, "The Bangalore location is the largest of its kind for IDS. The collaboration among our American, British and Asia-Pacific product managers will enable IDS to capitalise on a variety of technology capabilities and resources."
