| Intel today announced the launch of its Atom processor designed specifically for mobile Internet devices (MIDs). This will also be used in a new class of simple and affordable Internet-centric computers arriving later this year. The company also launched the Intel Centrino Atom processor technology for MID platforms comprising multiple chips that enable a better Internet experience in a pocketable device.
