NIIT to bid for more e-learning schemes

NIIT Limited is planning to participate in the bidding process for implementing computer education schemes at 20,000 schools, tenders for which are yet to be called for by six state governments, NIIT president (school learning solutions), L Balasubramanian, said. “We are looking at bagging at least 30 per cent of these schools, including in Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh," he said, while declining to spell out the contract sizes. “The typical project size will be Rs 8.5 lakh per school,” he said.

NIIT has been partnering the Andhra Pradesh government for the last six years bringing the benefit of ICT to over 5.4 million students.
