Ecoplast takes necessary steps to adhere to GPCB notice

Ecoplast Ltd has informed BSE on October 15, 2013 that the company has taken necessary steps for compliance for withdrawal of notice dated September 20, 2013 received from Gujarat Pollution Control Board (GPCB), Gandhinagar, for stoppage of production process and disconnection of power supply. “GPCB vide its order dated October 14, 2013 has withdrawn the above notice and accordingly Dakshin Gujarat Vij Company Limited has reconnected the power supply to the company,” Ecoplast said in a BSE filing.

Ecoplast Ltd is one of India’s largest suppliers of multilayer co-extruded polyethylene and co-polymer films to the flexible packaging industry as well as a variety of other specialty applications around the world. As per the company website, Ecoplast has a state-of-the-art plant in Valsad, Gujarat.
