Day 3 of the 1st Test match between hosts Pakistan and West Indies saw Windies spinner Warrican come to the rescue of the visitors, taking a total of 7 wickets in the 2nd innings, which restricted the hosts Pakistan to extending their lead of 250 runs. With the spin friendly track making it a fast match, it will be a tough task for the Windies who now have a target of 251 runs at the Multan cricket stadium. Sajid and Noman have again stepped up for the hosts and taken half of the batting lineup out of the equation. While Sajid took 4 wickets, Noman also got 2 for himself before lunch as the Windies struggle at 54/5. Athanaze top scored for the Wndies with 55 runs but is valiant effort wasn't enough in the end as the a fifer from Sajid along with wickets from other spinners dids the job on the day and made sure that 1-0 lead is theirs at the end of the day. Sajid, Noman shine for Pakistan
It was Sajid and Noman who spun all kinds of webs around the Windies batting lineup, taking 9 of the 10 wickets in the 1st innings. While Noman picked up his 7th fifer for the country, Sajid too went ahead to get 4 to his name. Abrar finished the job for the hosts by picking the last wicket which saw WI struggle and get bundled out at just 137 in the end.
West Indies would have to be quick in terms of taking wickets as they cannot afford another big total for them to chase on a track that is helping the spinners a lot from Day 1 itself.
