The Kanker Lok Sabha Constituency in the state of Chhattisgarh is currently held by Mohan Mandavi of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). In the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections, Mandavi beat Biresh Thakur of the Indian National Congress (INC) by receiving 47.12% of the votes cast in this constituency.
 
Kanker is one of the constituencies in 11-seat Chhattisgarh. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Kanker went to the polls on April 18, 2019, in Phase 2. It saw 74.23% of its registered electors turning out to vote, against 70.24% in the previous national elections held in 2014. Mohan Mandavi defeated his nearest rival, Biresh Thakur, by a margin of 6914 votes. While Mandavi received 47.12 votes, runner-up Biresh Thakur polled 46.53 votes.
 
At the time of the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, Kanker had 1,951,967 registered electors – 1,036,575 of them male and 915,392 female. The constituency had seen a 47.22% voter turnout. In 2014, the male voter turnout here was 48.53%, while 45.74% female voters turned out for voting. A total of 22 candidates had contested in this constituency. The participation of women candidates was 2.
