Chennai, Nov 07 (ANI): An Indian maid whose right hand was chopped off by her employer in Saudi Arabia, arrived in Chennai on Saturday almost a month after the horrific incident. Fifty-eight-year-old Kasthuri Munirathinam had told her family that her employer had hacked off her right arm after she had filed a harassment and torture complaint with the local authorities. Munirathinam, who hails from Tamil Nadu's Vellore District, had gone to Saudi Arabia through an agent to earn a decent income and pay off her loans. She was promised a monthly wage of Rs.80, 000 to take care of an old woman. Not long after Munirathinam told her family about being tortured. Her daughter, Selvi, said she was relieved to see her mother back home. Munirathinam's family had approached the government for help, as they feared for her life. Munirathinam's nephew, Jayaram Babu, said her condition has improved since the incident.
