New Delhi, Mar 04 (ANI): Non-resident Indian (NRI) can now acquire up to 100 per cent equity in Air India.  While addressing the press conference after cabinet meeting, Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting, Prakash Javadekar informed, "Regarding the strategic sale of Air India, now Non-resident Indian (NRI) can acquire 100% of stake in the airlines. Earlier it was 49%."

Essar group will turn the UK's Stanlow refinery into the world's first decarbonised green refinery as it plans to use blue hydrogen for meeting heating and power needs of the unit, cutting carbon emissions by as much as 95 per cent, a top official said Tuesday.
Speaking at FT's Energy Transition Summit India, Prashant Ruia, director of Essar Capital, which manages the group's portfolio of investments, said Essar Energy Transition's (EET) HyNet project will produce 350-megawatt of blue hydrogen in phase-1 and another 1 gigawatt in phase-II.
Since the UK does not have solar and wind potential to produce renewable electricity which could be used to split water in an electrolyser to produce green hydrogen and oxygen, EET will use natural gas to produce blue hydrogen and also capture and permanently store carbon produced during the process.

Fair trade regulator CCI on Tuesday cleared JM Financial's proposed acquisition of a 43 per cent stake in JM Financial Credit Solutions Ltd.
JM Financial Credit Solutions is an RBI-registered systemically important non-deposit-taking non-banking finance company (NBFC). It is a subsidiary of JM Financial Ltd (JMFL).
It is engaged in wholesale lending activities with a primary focus on real estate financing and corporate financing.
"The proposed combination envisages acquisition of 42.99 per cent of the total paid-up share capital of JM Financial Credit Solutions Ltd (JMFCSL) by JM Financial Ltd (JMFL)," CCI said in a release.
JMFL, a BSE and NSE-listed entity, is the operating cum holding company of the JM Financial Group, that provides integrated and diversified financial services on its own and through its subsidiaries.
Its primary business includes investment banking business, and private equity fund management, along with undertaking operations of private wealth and portfolio .

Chief Minister Atishi reviewed the progress of the Delhi Solar Policy, emphasised the importance of timely subsidy distribution, and directed officials to ensure that all consumers who install rooftop solar panels receive their subsidies within a month.
Atishi convened a review meeting of the Delhi Solar Policy with senior officials from the power department and Delhi's three electricity distribution companies (DISCOMs) to assess the implementation of the ambitious policy, an official statement said.
The Delhi government, led by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), has introduced India's most progressive solar energy initiative, offering consumers generation-based incentives (GBI) for each unit of solar energy produced, it added.
