Business conglomerate Godrej Industries Ltd on Tuesday reported an 81 per cent increase in consolidated net profit at Rs 322.49 crore for the April-June quarter of 2024, on higher income.
Its net profit stood at Rs 178.06 crore in the year-ago period.
Total income increased to Rs 5,259.41 crore in the April-June period of 2024-25 fiscal, from Rs 4,893.40 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year, according to a regulatory filing.
Godrej Industries has presence in chemicals, estate management (real estate), finance & investments.
On business performance of its subsidiaries, joint ventures and associate companies, Godrej Industries said the consolidated sales of Godrej Consumer Products Ltd (GCPL) stood at Rs 3,311 crore in the first quarter of this fiscal.
Godrej Properties' total Income grew to Rs 1,638 crore in April-June period of this fiscal, from Rs 1,315 crore in the year-ago period.

Patel Engineering Ltd on Tuesday reported a 25.81 per cent rise in its consolidated net profit to Rs 48.17 crore in the April-June quarter of 2024.
It had posted a Rs 38.29 crore net profit from operations during the year-ago period, the company said in an exchange filing.
The company's revenue from operations declined by 1.52 per cent to Rs 1,101.66 crore in the June quarter.
It was at Rs 1,118.61 crore in the year-ago period.
Patel Engineering's Managing Director Kavita Shirvaikar said, "Our focus remains on delivering long-term value for our stakeholders while continuously enhancing operational efficiency and output."

IT major Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) on Sunday said that the firm has adopted a zero-tolerance policy towards harassment and coercion of any form for a long time, confirming the suspension of employees allegedly involved in sexual harassment at its Nashik office.
The clarification comes in the wake of allegations of sexual harassment and forced religious conversion by eight female employees at the multinational company's office in Nashik.
Earlier this week, the police formed a special investigation team (SIT) to probe the complaints lodged by eight employees, who claimed that senior colleagues mentally and sexually harassed them, and the human resources department turned a deaf ear to their complaints. The police have since arrested seven people, including the company's female HR manager.

Realty firm Hawelia Group on Sunday said it will invest Rs 770 crore to complete a 22-acre stalled housing project in Greater Noida, with the company getting nod from the Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority.
Hawelia Group's takeover of this stalled project will benefit more than 2000 homebuyers whose investments have been stuck for many years.
Delhi-NCR-based Hawelia Group had, in 2023, entered into an understanding with the existing promoter of the stalled project of SJP Infracon's 'Shri Radha Sky Gardens' for completion of this project.
The company had approached the Uttar Pradesh government, seeking approval to become a co-promoter in this stuck project.
In a statement, Hawelia Group said it has received approval from UP-RERA to complete this project.
"Hawelia Group will invest Rs 770 crore to complete this project and aims to complete all 2,064 residential units within the stipulated timeline," the company said.
The project is expected to be completed in 42 to 48 .

Realty firm Signature Global Ltd has reduced its net debt by 77 per cent in the last fiscal to Rs 200 crore on better cash flow.
According to its latest operational update, Signature Global's net debt was Rs 200 crore at the end of 2025-26 against Rs 880 crore as of March 31, 2025.
"The company has Rs 2,770 crore of cash and cash equivalents as of March 31, 2026, which enables a very strong balance sheet position to strategise our foreseeable future," the company said.
Signature Global, which was the fifth-largest listed real estate firm in 2024-25 in terms of sales bookings, has a significant presence in Gurugram.
Recently, Signature Global and RMZ group finalised their equal joint venture to develop a commercial project in Gurugram, with the latter infusing Rs 1,293 crore for a 50 per cent stake.
The company would use part of this fund to pare debt.
The JV will invest around Rs 7,500 crore to develop this 18-acre upcoming commercial project.

Global energy major Shell plc has ramped up natural gas supplies to India in the wake of disruptions triggered by the West Asia conflict, leveraging its global liquefied natural gas (LNG) portfolio to capture a larger share of spot and term demand, including key fertiliser sector tenders.
Industry sources said Shell emerged as a leading supplier in last month's bulk LNG procurement by Indian fertiliser companies, securing a supply of 4 trillion British thermal units out of 6 TBtus volumes tendered, as the government moved to ensure feedstock availability for urea production amid constrained supplies from the Gulf.
With supplies from India's largest LNG supplier in Qatar disrupted by the West Asia conflict, Shell plc's India arm stepped in, importing its largest-ever monthly LNG volumes in March, they said.

TCS has made 25,000 offers to freshers in the current fiscal, and pointed out that the demand scenario will determine whether it hires more college graduates, a top official has said.
The largest information technology services company had hired 44,000 freshers in FY26, one of the highest by any private sector employer in the country, despite the headwinds it faced.
"We have made 25,000 offers for freshers in FY27. Clarity on demand will lead to more hiring," its chief executive and managing director K Krithivasan told PTI in an interview over the weekend.
When asked if the company will up its dependence on lateral hires and if the delivery model has undergone any change, he replied in the negative.
Explaining that it takes up to nine months of training before a fresher comes on the floor, while a lateral can deliver immediately, he said, adding that business needs will influence its hiring strategies.

State-owned Coal India Limited is absorbing rising input costs to protect consumers from higher coal prices, even as expenses for key inputs, such as explosives and industrial diesel, have surged sharply following the West Asia conflict.
The company said it has chosen not to pass on the increase, warning that doing so could trigger a cascading impact across sectors reliant on coal.
It is also compensating contractors operating in its mines for higher diesel costs.
Prices of ammonium nitrate - a key component accounting for about 60 per cent of explosives used in opencast mining - have risen 44 per cent to Rs 72,750 per tonne as of April 1 from pre-war levels. This has pushed up the average cost of explosives by around 26 per cent to nearly Rs 49,800 per tonne by end-March.
