OnePlus 12 series
Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus on January 23 launched in India its flagship OnePlus 12 series. The series encompasses the OnePlus 12, a premium model with camera system it co-created in partnership with Hasselblad, and the OnePlus 12r, a cost-effective model designed in the shadow of the elder sibling. Since there are similarities between the two models, OnePlus likes to call them a "dual flagship" that offers distinct attributes for consumers to choose according to their preferences.
Along with the smartphones, OnePlus launched the Buds 3 wireless earbuds. OnePlus said the new earbuds has better audio quality and enhanced noise cancellation, compared to peers.
The OnePlus 12 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and comes with up to 16GB RAM and 512GB storage. The device brings the latest in 5G technology, promising a seamless and fast connectivity experience. The OnePlus 12R, on the other hand, boasts a tried and tested Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip. It comes with up to 16GB RAM and 256GB on-board storage.
Both the smartphones have ProXDR 10-bit displays of up to 120Hz refresh rates and a peak brightness level of 4500 nits. The OnePlus 12 also offers enhanced camera capabilities with a 50MP Sony LYT-808 sensor and a 64MP telephoto lens with 3x zoom.
