Adani Green crosses 12GW renewable capacity, added 275 MW solar project

Adani Green Energy (AGEL) on Friday said its total operational renewable energy generation capacity has increased to 12,258.1 MW with the commissioning of an additional 275 MW of solar power project at Khavda, Gujarat. "Adani Green Energy Twenty Five A Ltd, wholly-owned step down subsidiary of the company has operationalized an incremental 275 MW of solar power project at Khavda, Gujarat," a regulatory filing said. According to the statement, with the commissioning of this plant, AGEL's total operational renewable generation capacity has increased to 12,258.1 MW. Based on the relevant clearances, it was decided on February 27, 2025 to operationalize the plant and commence power generation from February 28, 2025, it added. According to a company statement, AGEL, India's largest renewable energy (RE) company has surpassed a record 12,000 megawatts (MW) of operational portfolio. Adani Green Energy arm bags 1250 MW pumped hydro storage project from UPPCL

Adani Green Energy on Tuesday said its arm Adani Saur Urja has bagged an order from Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation (UPPCL) for procurement of 1,250 MW energy storage capacity from pumped hydro storage projects. Adani Saur Urja, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the company, has received a Letter of Award (LOA) from UPPCL in this regard. The capacity is secured through the e-Reverse Auction conducted by UPPCL, a regulatory filing said. According to the statement, the Annual Fixed Cost payable under the LOA stood at Rs 76,53,226 per MW per annum (taxes extra) for the entire period of 40 years from the commercial operation date.

Sri Lanka to renegotiate wind power purchase pact with Adani Green Energy

The Sri Lanka government will renegotiate the power purchasing agreement with Adani Green Energy for a 484 MW wind power project to bring the cost under USD 0.06 per unit, an official said on Tuesday. "We would want it to be below 6 cents US," government spokesman Nalinda Jayathissa told reporters here. The previous government's decision to sign a 20-year power purchase agreement for the 484MW wind plants at 8.2 cents US was disputed as local bidders had offered lower unit prices. Jayathissa's NPP had earlier vowed to annul the Adani green energy project. The new government in December decided not to sign an agreement at the purchase prices agreed by the previous government in 2023. The government refuted news reports that the Adani Green Energy projects in the northeastern regions of Mannar and Pooneryn projects are to be cancelled. Adani Green Energy Ltd (AGEL) on Thursday posted over 85 per cent rise in consolidated net profit to Rs 474 crore for December quarter on the back of higher revenues from power supply.
