Adani to spend Rs 6,000 cr on setting up health infra with Mayo Clinic

Adani Group will spend Rs 6,000 crore in setting up two 1,000-bed multi-specialty hospitals and medical colleges in Mumbai and Ahmedabad in partnership with Mayo Clinic. The expenditure is part of Rs 10,000 crore that Gautam Adani, chairman of Adani Group, had pledged when his younger son Jeet got married last week. Mayo Clinic, the world's largest integrated not-for-profit medical group practice, will provide technical expertise, Adani Group said in a statement. "Adani Group will fully meet the cost of building affordable, world-class medical care and medical education to people from all strata of society pan India," it said. "The family will donate upwards of Rs 6,000 crore to build the first two of these integrated health campuses in Ahmedabad and Mumbai." MIAL to redevelop T1, increase annual passenger handling capacity

Mumbai airport operator MIAL on Tuesday said Terminal 1 will be demolished and redeveloped to increase the passenger handling capacity and the work will commence in a phased manner from November. The Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) is operated by the Mumbai International Airport Ltd (MIAL), which is managed by Adani Airport Holdings Ltd (AAHL). "In November 2025, the transformation of Terminal 1 will proceed in carefully planned phases, ensuring minimal disruption. During the construction, Terminal 2 (T2) will shoulder the additional traffic," MIAL said in a release. The initial phase involves the demolition of the existing structure, starting November 2025, followed by construction of the new terminal. Once complete, the new T1 will be able to manage 20 million passengers annually, a 42 per cent boost in capacity, the release said. The work for the new T1 is scheduled for completion in 2028-29. Adani Wilmar starts Rs 1,300-cr food processing plant in Haryana's Sonepat

Edible oil firm Adani Wilmar Ltd has commenced operation of its food processing plant at Sonepat, Haryana, which it has established with an investment of nearly Rs 1,300 crore. In a regulatory filing on Thursday, Adani Wilmar said the company has commenced operations at its integrated food processing plant in Gohana, District Sonepat. "This food complex is one of the largest in the country built with a capital outlay of Rs 1,298 crore coming from IPO proceeds," the company said. The plant will help generate 2,000 direct and indirect employment in Haryana. The facility spread across 85 acres, has a total annual production capacity of 6.27 lakh tonnes. The plant will manufacture 4,50,000 tonnes of food products including rice, wheat flour, suji, rawa, and maida, along with 2 lakh tonnes of edible oils such as mustard oil, rice bran oil, and cottonseed oil, apart from Mustard DOC and Ricebran DOC for animal feed. Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd has approached the Centre for partial de-notification of its multi-product SEZ in Mundra, Gujarat, and the proposal will be taken up by the commerce ministry on Friday. The proposal will be discussed in the meeting of the Board of Approval, the highest decision-making body for special economic zones (SEZs). The board, headed by Commerce Secretary Sunil Barthwal, will meet here tomorrow. Adani Energy Solutions Q3 results: Net profit jumps 80% to Rs 625 crore

Adani Energy Solutions on Thursday posted a nearly 80 per cent rise in its consolidated net profit to Rs 625.30 crore in December quarter compared to a year ago on the back of higher revenues. The company reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 348.25 crore in the quarter ended on December 31, 2023, a BSE filing showed. Total income rose to Rs 6,000.39 crore in the quarter from Rs 4,824.42 crore in the same period a year ago.

Billionaire Gautam Adani, a college dropout who built a multi-billion dollar infrastructure empire spanning ports to energy, on Monday revealed that he made a commission of Rs 10,000 from his first trade at the age of 19. Born in Ahmedabad, Adani, 62, moved to Mumbai at the age of 16 and joined a diamond assortment company.
