Skoda Auto India on Tuesday announced a price hike of up to 3 per cent across its range of cars, effective January 1. This adjustment is necessitated by rising input and operational costs, ensuring the company continues to deliver premium vehicles and services to its customers, Skoda Auto India said in a statement. The company is a subsidiary of European carmaker Skoda Auto. The price increase will apply to the company's entire portfolio, including the Kushaq, Slavia, Superb, and Kodiaq. "The recently launched Kylaq will remain unaffected by this adjustment until it reaches the milestone of 33,333 bookings, which are fast-filling," the company said.

Maruti Suzuki to increase service network to 8K touchpoints by 2030-31

Car market leader Maruti Suzuki India on Wednesday said it plans to increase its overall service network to 8,000 touchpoints by 2030-31, with an aim to reach closer to its customers. The company, which on Wednesday opened the 500th service touchpoint for its premium retail outlet NEXA, currently has 5,240 touchpoints across NEXA as well as ARENA -- the mass market retail chain. "Our aim is to consistently deliver convenience and superior car ownership experience to our customers. One way is by reaching closer to our customers so that they have assurance of finding a Maruti Suzuki service touchpoint nearby," Maruti Suzuki India MD & CEO, Hisashi Takeuchi said in a statement. He further said, "Going forward as we plan to substantially increase our annual production and sales, we will simultaneously strengthen our service network. Our plan is to expand our service network, including ARENA and NEXA service touchpoints, from about 5,240 to 8,000 by FY 2030-31." Maruti Suzuki opened ...

EKA Mobility secures two order of Rs 150 crore from UPSRTC for e-buses

Electric vehicle maker EKA Mobility on Tuesday said it has secured two orders worth around Rs 150 crore from the Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) for supply of 70 air-conditioned electric buses. The orders comprise supply and maintenance of 12-meter 40 and 9-meter 30 AC buses, it said. These buses will play a key role in enhancing UPSRTC's fleet, the company said. EKA Mobility said it will also supply chargers to enable smooth operations, adding that both projects include long-term annual maintenance contracts to maintain peak performance for the next 10 years.
