UK Chancellor Jeremy Hunt to arrive in Bengaluru for G20 finance meet

The UK's Chancellor of the Exchequer, Jeremy Hunt, will arrive in Bengaluru on Thursday to attend the G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors meeting, and with a declared mission to enhance the India-UK economic partnership. On his first visit overseas since taking charge at the UK Treasury, Hunt will meet with his Indian counterpart, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, and senior business leaders and tech CEOs of the country to explore collaboration opportunities. Global sovereign debt roundtable to be launched in Bengaluru on Feb 25

The Global Sovereign Debt Roundtable is all set to be launched in Bengaluru later this month on the sidelines of the G-20 finance track, will bring in key stakeholders to discuss issues that have been impeding a timely debt restructuring process, a top official of the International Monetary Fund said here. The Global Sovereign Debt Roundtable on February 25 will be co-chaired by the IMF, the World Bank and India, which is president of G-20 countries this year. This will be preceded by a virtual meeting on February 17. The five-day biennial Aero India show starting from February 13 in Bengaluru appears set to dazzle the enthusiasts with sorties, aerobatic performances and mid-air formations. According to Aero India's official website, 807 exhibitors including 109 from abroad have confirmed their participation at the Air Force Station at Yelahanka. Mumbai, B'luru among best performing APAC residential markets: Knight Frank

Mumbai and Bengaluru are among five best performing residential markets in Asia Pacific in terms of annual price growth with 7 per cent increase in rates in both the cities, according to Knight Frank. In its Asia-Pacific Residential Review Index, real estate consultant Knight Frank said that Mumbai and Bengaluru have found place in the top five best performing Asia-Pacific residential markets in terms of annual price growth in H2 (second half) of 2022. As many as 14 out of 23 Asia-Pacific (APAC) cities have recorded positive annual price growth with Metro Manila ranked as the best-performing Asia-Pacific market with 24 per cent year-on-year (YoY) growth.
