Danish Crown Prince Frederik Andr Henrik Christian in India for 4-day visit

Denmark's Crown Prince Frederik Andr Henrik Christian and Crown Princess Mary Elizabeth arrived in India on Sunday on a four-day visit. It is the first visit to India from the Danish Royal family in two decades. The two are visiting India at the invitation of Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, according to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA). External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said in a tweet that the visit will further strengthen and enhance the close and friendly ties between the two countries. The royal couple will also travel to Agra and Chennai. They will depart from Chennai on March 2. The royal couple is learnt to be accompanied by Foreign Minister Lars Lkke Rasmussen, Environment Minister Magnus Heunicke and Minister for Climate, Energy and Utilities Lars Aagaard. Muraleedharan to attend Lanka's Independence Day celebrations on Saturday

State Minister for External Affairs V Muraleedharan will represent India at Sri Lanka's 75th Independence Day celebrations to be held here on Saturday and hold bilateral interactions with President Ranil Wickremesinghe and Foreign Minister Ali Sabry, officials said on Friday. A bilateral training exercise between armies of India and Australia will kick-start in Rajasthan on Monday, the defence ministry here said. The 'Austra Hind 22' exercise will be conducted till December 11. The ministry said it will be a yearly event that will be conducted alternatively in India and Australia. "Bilateral training exercise 'AUSTRA HIND 22' between contingents of the Indian Army and the Australian Army is scheduled to take place at Mahajan Field Firing Ranges (Rajasthan) from November 28 to December 11, 2022. This is the first exercise in the series of AUSTRA HIND with participation of all arms and services contingent from both armies," the ministry had said in a statement on Sunday.
