Chhattisgarh logs 433 Covid new cases, 4 deaths; active tally below 5,000

Chhattisgarh on Wednesday reported 433 new COVID-19 cases, taking the overall tally to 11,47,880, while four fresh deaths pushed the toll to 14,016, an official said. The daily positivity rate, or cases detected per 100 tests, was 1.37 per cent, he said. The number of recoveries reached 11,29,061 after 46 people were discharged from hospitals and 1,107 others completed home isolation during the day, leaving the state with an active tally of 4,803, he said. "Raipur recorded 63 cases, followed by Bilaspur 40, Balrampur 34, Kondagaon 28, Surguja 26, Durg 24, Korba 15 and Raigarh 11, among other districts," the official said. With 31,595 swab samples examined during the day, the number of COVID-19 tests in the state went up to 1,68,18,022, he said. Chhattisgarh's coronavirus figures are as follows: Positive cases 11,47,880, new cases 433, death toll 14,016, recovered 11,29,061, active cases 4,803, total tests 1,68,18,022.

Covid-19 pandemic: Chhattisgarh logs 579 new cases, five fatalities

Chhattisgarh on Sunday reported 579 fresh COVID-19 cases, taking the tally to 11,46,273, while five deaths in the past 24 hours increased the toll to 14,006, an official said. The state's positivity rate, or cases detected per 100 tests, was 3.38 per cent as of Sunday, he said. The number of recoveries reached 11,24,358 after 23 people were discharged from hospitals and 837 completed home isolation during the day, leaving Chhattisgrh with an active tally of 7,909. "Raipur recorded 56 cases, followed by Durg 53, Korba 38, Bilaspur 33, Raigarh 28 and Janjgir-Champa 18 among other districts," the official said. With 17,124 swab samples examined during the day, the number of COVID-19 tests in Chhattisgarh went up to 1,67,20,327, he added. Chhattisgarh's coronavirus figures are as follows: Positive cases 11,46,273, new cases 579, death toll 14,006, recovered 11,24,358, active cases 7,909, today tests 17,124, total tests 1,67,20,327.

Chhattisgarh government implements 'One Nation One Ration Card' plan

Chhattisgarh has implemented 'One Nation One Ration Card' (ONORC) plan, enabling the people of the state to lift their foodgrains quota entitled under the food law from any ration shops across the country. The Department of Food & Public Distribution recently reviewed the progress of States/UTs towards the implementation of ONORC plan. "...after successful testing of portability transactions, the Department has approved the integration of Chhattisgarh with the existing cluster of portability States/UTs under ONORC," an official statement said. The ONORC plan for nation-wide portability of the National Food Security Act (NFSA) ration cards has been enabled in the Chhattisgarh State from February 2, 2022.
