Govt to sell up to 5% in Bhel at ₹254 per share; OFS opens Wednesday

The government will sell up to 5 per cent stake in Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) via an offer for sale (OFS) beginning on Wednesday at a floor price of Rs 254 a share. "Government offers to disinvest 3 per cent equity in the BHEL with an additional 2 oer cent as green shoe option," Department of Investment and Public Asset Management (DIPAM) Secretary Arunish Chawla said on X. The issue will open for non-retail investors on Wednesday, while retail investors will get to put in price bid on Thursday. If fully subscribed at the floor price, sale of 17.41 crore shares, or 5 per cent stake, would fetch the government Rs 4,422 crore. The floor price of Rs 254 a share is about 8 per cent below BHEL's closing share price of Rs 276.05 on the BSE. The base issue size comprises over 10.44 crore shares, or 3 per cent stake, in BHEL, plus a greenshoe option to sell over 6.96 crore shares or 2 per cent. The government holds 63.17 per cent in BHEL. Cholamandalam Financial posts 27% rise in Q3FY26 profit to ₹1,386 crore

Cholamandalam Financial Holdings Ltd on Tuesday reported a 27 per cent rise in consolidated profit after tax to Rs 1,386 crore for the October-December 2025 quarter. The city-headquartered company, part of the diversified Murugappa Group, had posted a profit after tax of Rs 1,093 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year. Cholamandalam Financial Holdings Ltd (formerly TI Financial Holdings Ltd) has significant shareholdings in group companies, including Cholamandalam Investment and Finance Company Ltd, Cholamandalam MS General Insurance Company Ltd and Cholamandalam MS Risk Services Ltd. BSE Q3 results: Profit jumps nearly threefold to ₹602 cr; revenue up 62%

Leading stock exchange BSE on Monday reported a nearly three times jump in consolidated profit to Rs 602 crore for the December quarter, driven by strong growth in equity derivatives trading, listings and mutual fund transactions. The exchange posted a profit of Rs 220 crore in the corresponding period of the last fiscal year. Total revenue for the quarter under review stood at an all-time high of Rs 1,334 crore, up 61 per cent from Rs 829 crore a year earlier, BSE said in a statement. This also marks the exchange's 11th consecutive record performance. Further, operating expenses declined 4 per cent year-on-year to Rs 512 crore, further boosting profitability. Investment and other income increased 47 per cent to Rs 90 crore during the quarter. The Ramco Cements Q3 net profit jumps 2-fold to ₹385.63 cr, revenue up 6%

The Ramco Cements Ltd on Monday reported an over two-fold jump year-on-year in its consolidated net profit at Rs 385.63 crore in the December quarter of FY26, helped by improvement in cement prices and operational efficiencies. The company posted a net profit of Rs 181.58 crore during the October-December quarter of the previous fiscal, according to a regulatory filing by The Ramco Cements. Revenue from operations was up 6.16 per cent to Rs 2,105.68 crore in the December quarter of FY26. It was at Rs 1,983.45 crore in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal. "During Q3 FY26, the cement sale volume is 4.43 million tonnes, compared to 4.28 million tonnes in Q3 FY25 with a growth of 4 per cent," the company said in its earnings statement. Bata India Q3 net profit up 12.6% at ₹66.1 cr, revenue rises 2.8%

Leading shoemaker Bata India Ltd on Monday reported a 12.61 per cent rise in consolidated net profit to Rs 66.1 crore in the December quarter of FY'26 compared to the year-ago period. It had posted a net profit of Rs 58.7 crore in the previous October-December a year ago, according to a regulatory filing from Bata India. Bata's revenue from operations was up 2.81 per cent to Rs 944.68 crore during the quarter under review compared to Rs 918.79 crore in the corresponding quarter a year ago. Its total expenses in the December quarter were at Rs 868.92 crore, up 3.3 per cent on a year-on-year basis. Bata India's total income, which includes other income, was up 3.93 per cent to Rs 965.72 crore. Shares of Bata India Ltd on Monday settled at Rs 884.35 apiece on BSE, up 4.27 per cent.

Aurobindo Pharma Q3FY26 results: Net profit rises 8% to ₹910 crore

Aurobindo Pharma on Monday said its consolidated net profit increased 8 per cent year-on-year to Rs 910 crore for the December quarter, led by robust sales in Europe and the US. The Hyderabad-based drug major reported a net profit of Rs 846 crore for the October-December period of the last fiscal year. Total revenue from operations increased to Rs 8,646 crore during the quarter as compared with Rs 7,979 crore in the year-ago period, the drug firm said in a statement.
