Will soon come up with new version of Data Protection Bill: IT Minister

Information and Technology Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on Monday said that the ministry will soon come up with a new version of the Data Protection Bill.Vaishnaw added that the ministry will bring a complete overhaul of cyber laws and it will soon present a new Telecom Bill."I request the judicial community to come up with suggestions based on their experience in the day-to-day working of our judicial system. We're coming up with a complete overhaul of Cyber Laws & very soon, we'll also present a New Telecom Bill," tweeted the Ministry of Electronics & IT.He added, "We will also be coming up with a new version of the Data Protection Bill; a Digital India Act is also being worked on.
