Three members of a family were killed and two others seriously injured in a tractor-truck collision in Madhya Pradesh's Chhindwara district, police said. The incident took place near Singodi village late Wednesday night. The victims were returning in the tractor after attending a religious function on the banks of the Pench river when the vehicle was hit by a truck from the opposite side, said inspector Jitendra Yadav of Singodi police station. Prakash Chandravanshi (17), Rakesh Chandravanshi (35) and Bhakatha Chandravanshi (70), hailing from Kosmi village, were killed on the spot, he said. The seriously injured were admitted to Giridih Sadar Hospital, the police said. In the first incident, a man and his nephew were killed when a speeding bus hit their motorcycle near Usri river on Giridih-Dhanbad road, Sub-Divisional Police Officer Jeet Vahan Oraon said. Two labourers died after being buried under a mound of soil at an underbridge construction site in Rajasthan's Hanumangarh district Thursday, police said. The victims Deepchand (25) and Dhani (17) were working at the site when the incident took place, a police official said. The two labourers were rushed to a hospital where doctors declared them dead, he said. Both the deceased were from Madhya Pradesh, the official said. Two persons, including a five-year-old boy, were killed and 36 others injured after a tractor-trolley overturned in Uttar Pradesh's Barabanki district, police said Thursday. Shivam (5) and Rajrani (50) died in the accident that took place late Wednesday evening near Kuntalpur village in Ramnagar area of the district, police said. The injured were admitted to a hospital, where their condition was stated to be stable, they said. The vehicle overturned because the driver apparently lost control over it, they added. An Indian man was killed and 25 others were injured when their bus plunged into a rivulet in Nepal's Nawalparasi district on Thursday, police said.
