Big B to star in Spanish thriller remake

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan is all set to star in Bollywood remake of famous Spanish crime thriller 'Contratiempo' (The Invisible Guest).Directed by Sujoy Ghosh, the remake of Spanish thriller is titled as 'Badla' (Revenge).'Contratiempo', revolves around a successful young businessman who seeks to prove his innocence when his mistress is murdered.Megastar's 'Pink' co-star Taapsee Pannu will also feature in the flick.The movie 'Badla' is co-produced by Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan's company Red Chillies Entertainment and Azure Entertainment.The surprising element about this- it will be the first time when Khan is co-producing a film top-lined by Bachchan," according to The Hollywood Reporter.Shah Rukh and Amitabh were last seen on screen together in 2008 release 'Bhootnath'.Big-B is currently shooting for Ayan Mukerji's 'Brahmastra' which is a fantasy drama, and also stars Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt.

BookMyShow forays into int'l event ticketing

Online entertainment ticketing platform BookMyShow (BMS) today said it is expanding into international event ticketing as part of its efforts to strengthen its non-movie business over the next 2-3 years. "We are foraying into ticketing for events being held outside of India with the multi Tony-award winning production of Rodgers & Hammerstein's THE KING AND I. This is our second production after our partnership with Disney for the musical Aladdin in India," BMS COO-Non Movies Albert Almeida told PTI. He added that in the next 2-3 years, the movie ticket booking business and non-movie business is expected to be evenly split. Almeida explained that the move will help the company target two sets of users -- leisure travellers who want to attend events when they travel abroad and people looking at attending specific international events. Top film makers of India, China discuss future collaborations at SCO film festival

Filmmakers from India and China have joined hands to produce a movie that will showcase the emotional bond and cultural values shared by the people of both the countries, amidst the recent box office success of some of the Indian films in China. On eve of Yoga Day event, PIB finds its YouTube channel blocked

The Press Information Bureau's official YouTube channel is unlikely to be able to live stream International Yoga Day events tomorrow, with the video sharing website blocking it. The channel has been blocked as YouTube is updating its "partner agreements", a spokesperson of the website said. However, PIB can live stream the event on other social media sites. "PIB India's YouTube channel is experiencing a technical glitch because of which viewers are not able to access the content on the channel. On trying to watch a video, an error message is getting displayed saying 'This video contains content from Press Information Bureau. It is not available in your country'. "The problem has been communicated to YouTube India and efforts are on to resolve the issue. It has also come to our notice that several reputed institutions in other parts of the world are also having identical problems," a PIB source said. Dennis Quaid to play Ronald Reagan in new biopic

Dennis Quaid has been roped in to play former US President Ronald Reagan in a new biopic. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the actor will play the title role in the film, currently dubbed as "Reagan", which will explore the ex-POTUS' life from boyhood through his presidency of both the US and the Screen Actors Guild. Sean McNamara will direct the biopic from a script by Howie Klausner and Jonas McCord. The feature is based on two biographies from author Paul Kengor.
