The 65-year-old actor received the 2,638th star in a ceremony which was attended by his wife Emilie Livingston and their children -- River (1) and Charlie (2). In his speech at the ceremony, the actor invited all the attendees to his home for a party. "What is the appropriate way to celebrate Jeff Goldblum day?" Goldblum asked the crowd. "Get liquored up and then all go to my house for a pool party," he added. The actor also recognized other stars who will be getting their own star on the Walk of Fame this year, including Jack Black, Kirsten Dunst and Jennifer Lawrence. Actor Leah Remini will star in the pilot of untitled comedy from 20th Century Fox Television. The comedy pilot at Fox has been penned by "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" scribes Rob McElhenney and Rob Rosell, reported Variety. The story revolves around a woman, her ex-husband and her new wife, who all work together to raise a family in Middle America. Remini, 48, will play Jean, who considers herself a patriot that loves her country and firmly believes in everyone's right to be left alone. Jean in many ways fits the stereotype of a typical conservative. McElhenney and Rosell will also executive produce the comedy alongside Nick Frenkel, Charlie Day and Glenn Howerton. The project will be in consideration for a potential mid-season launch should Fox order it to series.

For the first time, filmmakers from China and Pakistan will jointly produce a movie showcasing the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) to highlight the "intimate friendship" of the people from the two countries, according to a media report. The USD 50 billion CPEC, a flagship project of Chinese President Xi Jinping's Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), has become a major issue as it traversed through the Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), prompting strong protests from India. Senior journalist and writer Adiraju Venkateswara Rao passed away here. He was 79. Rao had not been keeping well for some time and the end came late last night, sources said. Rao, a native of Khammam district, worked in different Telugu and English newspapers. He also authored several books, the sources said. He played an active role in the separate Telangana agitation in 1969 and the state government honoured him during the Telangana formation day celebrations recently, a release from the Chief Minister's office said. Condoling the death of Venkateswara Rao, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao recalled his services to achieve separate Telangana as well as in the fields of journalism and literature, it said.
