Jeff Goldblum gets star on Walk of Fame
Actor Jeff Goldblum, the star of films such as "Jurassic Park" series, "Independence Day" and most recently "Thor: Ragnarok", has received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The 65-year-old actor received the 2,638th star in a ceremony which was attended by his wife Emilie Livingston and their children -- River (1) and Charlie (2). In his speech at the ceremony, the actor invited all the attendees to his home for a party. "What is the appropriate way to celebrate Jeff Goldblum day?" Goldblum asked the crowd. "Get liquored up and then all go to my house for a pool party," he added. The actor also recognized other stars who will be getting their own star on the Walk of Fame this year, including Jack Black, Kirsten Dunst and Jennifer Lawrence. Goldblum said acting has always been his passion but he is reminded to keep his ego in check. Leah Remini to star in Fox's untitled comedy pilot
Actor Leah Remini will star in the pilot of untitled comedy from 20th Century Fox Television. The comedy pilot at Fox has been penned by "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" scribes Rob McElhenney and Rob Rosell, reported Variety. The story revolves around a woman, her ex-husband and her new wife, who all work together to raise a family in Middle America. Remini, 48, will play Jean, who considers herself a patriot that loves her country and firmly believes in everyone's right to be left alone. Jean in many ways fits the stereotype of a typical conservative. McElhenney and Rosell will also executive produce the comedy alongside Nick Frenkel, Charlie Day and Glenn Howerton. The project will be in consideration for a potential mid-season launch should Fox order it to series.
Love you personally and professionally: Aamir to Salman
As Salman Khan's "Race 3" released today his good friend Aamir Khan wished him luck and said he loves the actor "personally and professionally". Aamir, 53, took to Twitter to praise the trailer of the Remo D'Souza-directed movie and said he will soon watch the film with his family. "Hi Salman, I haven't seen it yet, but I am sure that me and my family are going to love Race 3 ! Love you personally and professionally. I loved the trailer! It's going to be a blockbuster and break all records! Love," the actor tweeted. Salman, 52, and Aamir started their Bollywood journeys in late '80s with "Maine Pyaar Kiya" and "Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak" respectively. They have worked together in cult comedy "Andaz Apna Apna".

'Vadhayiyaan Ji Vadhayiyaan' to release in July
The makers have dropped the first poster of Punjabi film 'Vadhayiyaan Ji Vadhaiyaan'. The poster has revealed that the film will hit the screens on July 13, this year.The poster was shared by Taran Adarsh, an Indian film critic, on his Twitter where he wrote, "#CarryOnJatta2 director Smeep Kang's next Punjabi film #VadhayiyaanJiVadhayiyaan to release on 13 July 2018... Mexican actor Luis Gerardo Mendez has been signed on to star alongside Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston in 'Murder Mystery'.According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Netflix whodunit will be helmed by Kyle Newacheck, who recently directed the action comedy 'Game Over, Man!' for the entertainment company.'Beauty and the Beast' actor Luke Evans is also part of the feature which follows a New York City cop (Sandler) as he finally takes his wife (Aniston) on a long-promised European trip.The script has been penned by 'White House Down' writer James Vanderbilt.

China, Pakistan to jointly produce film on CPEC
For the first time, filmmakers from China and Pakistan will jointly produce a movie showcasing the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) to highlight the "intimate friendship" of the people from the two countries, according to a media report. The USD 50 billion CPEC, a flagship project of Chinese President Xi Jinping's Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), has become a major issue as it traversed through the Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), prompting strong protests from India. India has refused to endorse the BRI at the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit held this month in Qingdao in China. Veteran journalist passes away
Senior journalist and writer Adiraju Venkateswara Rao passed away here. He was 79. Rao had not been keeping well for some time and the end came late last night, sources said. Rao, a native of Khammam district, worked in different Telugu and English newspapers. He also authored several books, the sources said. He played an active role in the separate Telangana agitation in 1969 and the state government honoured him during the Telangana formation day celebrations recently, a release from the Chief Minister's office said. Condoling the death of Venkateswara Rao, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao recalled his services to achieve separate Telangana as well as in the fields of journalism and literature, it said.
