Complete absence of any kind of documentation in Indian cinema: Big B

Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan believes that Indian cinema lacks behind when it comes to preserving materials related to filmmaking."It is the factor of documentation that attracts me... And I reiterate again and again... There is complete absence of any kind of documentation, existing in the largest film industry of the world," Amitabh wrote on his blog."And when effort is made, it needs to be encouraged - not because it is conditioned to my visuals, but should be there for the entire industry, their achievements and contribution to this immense work force; their ideas and thoughts and commendations," he added.Amitabh, who can currently be seen onscreen in '102 Not Out', hopes that "someday" there will be an effort made by somebody to preserve the history of Indian cinema.

Ajay-Atul to compose music for 'Panipat'

Composers Ajay-Atul Gogavale will score the music for Ashutosh Gowariker's upcoming period film "Panipat". The brother duo have Marathi films such as "Natarang", "Sairaat" and Bollywood movies "Singham" and "Agneepath" to their credit, including "Jogwa" in Marathi for which they received National Award for best music direction in 2008. "It is a great honour for us to work with a great director like Ashu sir. He is not only an excellent filmmaker but also has very good musical sensibilities, and we have seen that through all his films. Third 'Bad Boys' film to release in January, 2020

The third chapter in the "Bad Boys" franchise will hit the screens on January 17, 2020, Sony Pictures has announced. The film, titled "Bad Boys for Life", will see actors Martin Lawrence and Will Smith reprising their roles of Miami Police Department detectives Marcus Burnett and Mike Lowrey, according to The Hollywood Reporter. "Don" was a Salim-Javed script that many big stars in the industry had passed on but Amitabh Bachchan, Zeenat Aman and director Chandra Barot decided to take on the "difficult" project to pull one of their friends out of debt. Released on May 12, 1978, "Don" featuring Bachchan in a double role, that of a mafioso and a simpleton went on to become a blockbuster with its racy music, iconic dialogues and pulsating action. In an interview with PTI, Chandra traces the birth of "Don", how several stars rejected the film and how he once made Bachchan eat 40 'paans' just to get a scene right.
