George Clooney's "Catch-22" series has added Tessa Ferrer and Jay Paulson to its cast. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Ferrer will play ward nurse Duckett who likes John Yossarian (Christopher Abbott) and is exasperated by his relentless scheming but admires him as well. The role was originally played by Paula Prentiss. On the other hand, Paulson will play the chaplain (originally portrayed by Anthony Perkins). Sharks can acquire a taste for jazz music, say scientists who have found that the predators may be much smater than thought. Researchers from Macquarie University in Australia trained baby Port Jackson sharks to associate music with a food reward. When played a jazz song, the sharks learnt to go to a feeding station for a tasty treat. "Sound is really important for aquatic animals, it travels well under water and fish use it to find food, hiding places and even to communicate," said Catarina Vila-Pouca, lead author of the study published in the journal Animal Cognition. Anecdotal reports have suggested that sharks can learn to associate the sounds of boat engines with food, for example as part of shark cage-diving activities. Jordan Peele has decided the title of his next feature film and it is "Us". The 39-year-old actor-turned-filmmaker, who made his directorial debut with Oscar-nominated "Get Out" last year, made the announcement on Twitter. Peele shared the poster of the film sans the caption. The artwork, however, describes the film as "a new nightmare from the mind of" the director. The project is being developed by Universal Pictures, which is touted to be "another original and provocative thriller" by Peele. The noveau filmmaker, who created history by becoming the first black screenwriter to win the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay for "Get Out" in March, will once again direct from a screenplay he wrote. Billy Crudup joins 'After The Wedding' remake
Billy Crudup has been roped in to star opposite Jullianne Moore in the American remake of "After The Wedding". The 49-year-old actor will be playing Oscar, the loving husband to Moore's Theresa, Deadline reported. The film is based on the 2006 Oscar-nominated Danish film of the same name directed by Susanne Bier that starred Mads Mikkelsen. Bart Freundlich, who is Moore's real-life spouse, is directing the remake from his own script. Joel B Michaels and Silvio Muraglia are producing the remake. The new film follows the director of an Indian orphanage on the verge of bankruptcy, who discovers that her organisation is in contention to receive a large charitable donation from a wealthy American businesswoman, forcing her to travel to New York City, where she is confronted by a past she tried to forget. 'Santa Clarita Diet' renewed for third season
"Santa Clarita Diet", featuring Drew Barrymore and Timothy Olyphant, is getting a third season at Netflix. The new installment of the horror comedy, with a 10-episode run, is slated to premier next year, Deadline reported. The main cast of the show, including Barrymore, Olyphant, Liv Hewson and Skyler Gisondo, are set to reprise their roles. The announcement comes less a month-and-a half after the second season of the show aired on March 23. Created by Victor Fresco, "Santa Clarita Diet" follows real state agents Joel (Olyphant), wife Sheila (Drew) and their daughter Abby (Liv Hewson). Their dull life in Los Angeles suburb of Santa Clarita drastically changes after Sheila becomes an overnight zombie which makes her crave for human flesh.
