Challenge in writing, not casting for two hero films: Siddharth

Siddharth Anand's next venture features Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff, and the director says the real challenge is getting a story that does justice to both the actors. "It's the script that plays a crucial role here as both the actors should feel that their roles are good enough and feel secure as well. For the two-hero films, the challenge lies in writing and not casting," he told PTI. Anand, who has worked with Hrithik in "Bang Bang", says once the story was written, Roshan and Shroff were the obvious choice for him. "Both of them respect each other's talent and craft. It became easy to get them because of their image of a mentor and protege. So it will not be hard to sell this (idea of mentor and protege) to audiences," he said. He said both the actors have read their parts and loved it. There is no overlapping for any sort of competition. The film would also star Vaani Kapoor, and Anand feels glad that the "Befikre" actor accepted the offer. "It is a Hrithik-Tiger vehicle ...

Sean Bean reveals Ned Stark's last words on 'Game on Thrones'

There have been many fan theories about what Ned Stark murmured before getting his head chopped off in "Game of Thrones" but actor Sean Bean, who played the character, has said that he was just "praying". Over the years, many theories have floated on the social, with some believing that Ned must have said, "I kept my promise," alluding to his vow to his sister Lyanna Stark to keep the knowledge of Jon Snow's true parentage a secret. While others believe he was mumbling "valar morghulis" - a High Valyrian saying that translates to "all men must die." "It appears that way, doesn't it?" Bean told Huffpost while discussing the scene. I couldn't be too specific, because I don't know if religion (like that) was around in those days, whatever they were. I just thought, 'What would you do if this were really gonna happen?' You probably would pray. You probably would murmur some words and you'd keep it quiet. You'd keep it to yourself," Bean said. "It's quite subtle in that many people ...

Daniel Bruhl was left speechless by '7 days in Entebbe' script

Actor Daniel Bruhl has said that he was left speechless and surprised by the script of his upcoming film "7 Days In Entebbe". The "Captain America: Civil War" star will be seen in the role of a German terrorist in Jose Padilha-directed film, which also features Rosamund Pike in a pivotal role. The film is about the 1976 Israeli rescue operation that freed the mainly Jewish and Israeli hostages of a hijacked plane in Uganda. It focuses on two conflicted left-wing Germans -- played by Bruhl and Pike -- who allied with Palestinian terrorists to hijack the Paris-bound plane. "I was speechless and surprised when I first read the script. I knew about Entebbe and I'd seen one of the earlier films on the subject, but reading this particular script made me aware of so many additional details that are absolutely fascinating. I know expectations are high with 'Bharat': Ali Abbas Zafar

Coming off from two back-to-back successes, Ali Abbas Zafar is nervous about the expectations surrounding "Bharat", his third collaboration with Salman Khan. The director says it is natural for people to expect him and Salman to strike gold after two superhits -- "Sultan" and "Tiger Zinda Hai" -- together . "With 'Tiger Zinda Hai' and 'Sultan' behind me, I'm more nervous for my next one because I know the expectations and anticipations will be really, really high," Ali told PTI. The human-drama is a remake of the 2014 South Korean film"Ode To My Father". "It is a very different film from 'Tiger' and 'Sultan'. We are trying to do something new with it. It's too early to talk about it," he said when prodded about "Bharat". Ali believes working with Salman has added maturity to his craft as a filmmaker. "People tell me there's a lot of maturity in my work now. May be that maturity has got to do because I'm working with Salman Khan who has so much experience. "The text that I write ...
